Kannattele!

Dancer in the choreography by Jaana Turunen (former Klevering)

Live music, speech, writings, sounds, and the seamless, clear, and breathing movement of the dancers are fundamental elements in the work that explores the silence and difficulty of speaking out loud. How to regognize and name emotions and events in one’s own history that have distanced language, emotions, and the body from each other?

Jaana Turunen has been active as a performer, choreographer, and teacher for almost twenty years. She has created numerous dance works and improvised in various ensembles, spaces, and situations in Finland and Europe.
